Tory Burch has recently ventured into the home decor realm, and so far it is good. Would you expect anything less? If you’ve spent any time in her eclectic yet perfectly preppy stores or perused the Tory Burch Blog, you know that not only does the woman have great style, she’s serious about chic living as well. A lot of her home collection looks as though it could have been given to you by your grandmother or scooped up at a flea market, which I have a feeling is precisely the look they were going for. Nailed it.
Even though I just got back from Italy a few days ago, my wanderlust is in full force. I’m one of those people who subscribes to every travel magazine and constantly searches for new places to travel to, and my latest obsession is One Fine Stay. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s a well curated, easy to use travel site that features gorgeous apartments and homes for vacation rentals in Paris, London, NYC, and here in LA.
I absolutely love hotels, but there’s just something so interesting about the idea of staying in someone’s home when visiting another city. You feel more like a part of the city instead of just a tourist, and have the opportunity to discover areas that you may not otherwise have seen – and the fact that all of the homes on One Fine Stay are incredibly chic doesn’t hurt. Above are a few of my favorites…it was really hard to narrow them down!
There’s nothing that I love more than a good stripe, whether it’s on a classic Breton tee, or in this case, home decor. Stripes are so traditional and timeless; they’re the kind of thing that will forever be in style without ever being too trendy, which (I think) is precisely how a home should be. Whether stripes are the focal point in your home decor or just an accessory, they’re guaranteed to up the chic factor.
We’re moving from our tiny apartment into an (also tiny) house soon, and I will definitely be incorporating stripes into our home in some aspect. I’m thinking maybe this rug for in the kitchen. I’ll keep you posted!
