I stopped in at Rolling Greens on a whim the other day when I happened to be in West Hollywood. I hadn’t been to the floral and interiors shop in years, and I’m so happy that I finally visited again; the shop is seriously stunning. The airy, open space is filled to the brim with brightly colored flowers, gorgeous plants (and pretty vessels to put them in) all set among a beautifully curated selection of home goods, from books and pottery to mirrors and antiques. It’s the perfect place to stop in if you need a hostess gift or a little gardening help, and they also have an arrangement bar where their ‘baristas’ will help you create the perfect planted arrangement.
Do yourself a favor and pop in if you’re in the area, and then you can head to across the street to celebrate your newly discovered green thumb over something delicious at Stir Market. PS – if you do go, bring your mom. Doesn’t it seem like a place that any mom would love? I’m definitely going to bring mine when she visits in a few weeks!
Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? We had people over at our place on Saturday and it was so much fun – we barbecued, roasted marshmallows, and drank a lot of rosé, which meant that Sunday was spent lazing around the house and suntanning in the backyard. It was a pretty perfect weekend, actually.
The weather has been so gorgeous that it’s gotten me all excited for summer, which I suppose explains the random mish mosh of outdoor accessories (love those striped pillows, but I think Justin might divorce me if I buy one more pillow) and summery things I’m posting today. Some are things I’m coveting (like that Calypso tunic) and others are items I’m currently loving (like the Beach perfume, which smells like summer), but all of them are making me hope that Summer weather (or at least Spring!) is here to stay…
My sister and I recently spent an afternoon along Melrose Place, a super cute little shopping district nestled behind a busy street in West Hollywood. Neither of us live close to the area, but we decided to meet for facials (at Kate Somerville, they’re the best) and to explore the area a little bit beforehand.
We had lunch at Fig & Olive where we split a few of their crostinis (I liked the smoked salmon) and their signature salad, and then popped into a few of the shops like Violet Grey and The Row before stopping for coffee at Alfred’s, an incredibly popular cafe with great people watching. It was such a fun afternoon, and made me feel so lucky to have my sister living in the same city. She didn’t want to get in any blog photos (next time, Hilary!) but I figured I may as well share my outfit with you.
I got this dress recently at Club Monaco and it’s become such an easy to wear go-to for when I want to wear something cute but am too to put much effort into getting dressed. If you’re in the market for a new dress, I promise you won’t be disappointed in this one – as a bonus, it’s currently 20% off with code GETNOW. I’m tempted to take advantage of the sale and buy the same dress in another color, or maybe to pull the trigger on this dress that I’ve been eying, which would be so perfect for a summer wedding. Tough decisions!
