fermoie

hp_sm_centre_image-fb363dc89761bf9290ada5f3f02abfcaThe other day I was at the Claremont showroom picking up a few samples for a client, when I discovered and immediately fell in love with British textiles company Fermoie. I don’t know how I had never heard of the company before, but now that I have I’m completely obsessed. The fabrics are designed and printed in England using a traditional printing process which creates the most gorgeous prints and colors that range from fun and whimsical to classic and traditional – a lot like British design in and of itself, come to think of it! I feel like the English are so good at mixing the new with the old and playful accessories with more serious pieces , aren’t they? (Case in point: remember this amazing house?)

Something that’s pretty cool about Fermoie is that they’re not solely sold to the trade, so if you’re not working with a designer you can still shop for their fabrics and purchase their accessories like lampshades and pillows via their online shop. I definitely have my eye on their lampshades (how pretty is this one?) and in my dream world/future house I’d love to have curtains made from one of their fabrics like Chiltern or Rabanna. Be sure to follow them on instagram for inspiration and behind the scenes peeks.

Love the prints! I have also never heard of them but I am also not that well aware of trends in the textile industry! But those would make such fun throw pillows!
