Tommy Hilfiger’s runway each season is always a dreamy escape; last season was Malibu themed with truckloads of sand and a boardwalk as a catwalk, and for FW 2014 we were transported to an alpine ski village complete with faux snow and a chairlift. The models were sent down the runway looking like a group of super chic, artfully disheveled skiers heading to aprés – nearly each look was topped with a beanie (or a toque if you’re Canadian, like me!) and there was plenty of plaid, cozy boots and a ton of amazing looking sweaters like this one. Something that I didn’t love was the baggy patchwork jeans – I have a feeling those are a thing that very literally only works if you happen to be super thin, very tall, and a model. Ill-fitting jeans aside, I really liked the collection as a whole and am feeling inspired to up my sartorial game for our upcoming weekend at a cabin at Big Bear!
