Serena and Lily is one of my favorite online shops; I love browsing the site to see what’s new and visiting their social media pages for inspiration. I think I’d be perfectly happy to have a houseful of solely Serena and Lily stuff (I’d start with this bed, which I’ve fallen in love with). They recently opened a store here in LA, so my mom and I ventured over to West Hollywood the other day to check it out. I’m a big online shopper but sometimes you want to actually see and touch an item, especially with something like home decor when it can be hard to visualize the scale, texture and color of certain things…I’ve definitely ordered a few things in the past and been very surprised at their actual size or color, the most memorable one being a Christmas pillow I ordered a few years ago that arrived and was this teensy tiny thing – like a Barbie pillow! I’ve learned to pay more attention to the listed dimensions now 😉
It was really neat to see Serena and Lily’s online presence come to life; the bright, airy shop is exactly what you’d expect from the brand, as were the perfectly styled and accessorized vignettes. They have a huge library of color swatches, and nearly all of their most popular items are on display (like this bar cart and these chairs). Another neat thing about the shop is that a lot of the salespeople are trained in interior design and can help you with color schemes and planning out your room. I have a feeling I’m going to be a regular in the shop, I sound a little bit obsessed don’t I? If you’re here in LA you should definitely pop in – you can make a day of it and visit Kelly Wearstler down the street, then grab a coffee from Alfred’s and browse the shops on Melrose Place.
Here are some photos of the space, and some of my current Serena and Lily faves are below:
