I started out planning to do a post on lofts, as I was just in Vancouver which seems to be the land of the sleek loft space; one of my girlfriends is looking to buy one and there seem to be a zillion out there, each one with more exposed brick, polished concrete or outdoor living space than the next. During my search one of the loft pictures I found had a Smeg refrigerator in it, which led to a late night Pinterest session and ultimately this post. Apparently I have an incredibly short attention span, and had forgotten how much I love Smeg appliances.

When we first moved into our little house I really wanted one of their brightly colored fridges for our kitchen. Our house was built in the 20’s and the retro vibe of the Smeg fridges would have fit in perfectly, but since the price tag is a little steep (they’re around $2500, so you’d have to really commit to it) I settled for a toaster which is just as cute. If you were redecorating and had a large fridge fund would you get one of these? I’d be torn between the seafoam green one or the classic white – though the pink is pretty fun too.

The mint SMEG is my all time favourite too. The other SMEG kitchen appliances also look… well, what can I say – cute! 🙂
Their design is truly distinctive. And the one I happen to like. 🙂
